The 2014 statistics revealed that quite some people died in car accidents or after that due to injuries from car accidents in the US. Some drivers tend to ignore the essence of using the seatbelts, and so, they and up causing fatal car crashes on the roads that lead to an increase in the death toll. The rate of the car crash in the US has gone very high, and still, many people lose their lives in the wreckage.

Sources have it that 28 percent of the total wreckage reported in the US are linked with speeding. Despite the strict rules and regulations made to reduce the rate of car accidents, still many people continue to get injured on the roads. Since 2005, speeding has been observed and reported as the primary factor leading to the increasing number of people losing their life due to several car accidents. Speed limits are always placed in strategic locations where it is necessary for drivers to mind their speed. Many people normally tend to ignore such signs since they believe to know what they are doing and hence, no one should interfere with them and so, they end up in the wreckage. It is not a good idea to form a speculation that there are poor roads that cause the most accident since the government is keen on ensuring that all main roads are maintained in good condition.

According to reliable sources, 35 percent of the fatal accidents took place on the roads which were not highways. It can be concluded that most drivers tend to over speed when they notice that no one is watching them and they end up causing fatal accidents. On the other hand, only 29 percent of gross car crash happened on the highways. It is due to the availability of strict surveillance of main roads that the drivers tend to pay attention to the speed limits.

On the other hand, it has been reported that most of the car accidents today experienced were not due to speeding. Then it was later concluded that there are some lives that were lost due to the low speed limit in the same year. Reliable sources reported that 9,262 lives were lost due to vehicles moving slowly on the highway. It is, therefore, safe to conclude that as much as speeding is a cause of many deaths in the US, moving slowly along the highways have contributed to quite some car crashes that ended up claiming many lives.
